We met for breakfast at 7:00AM in the restaurant in the motel. The breakfast actually was very good, and Carl sweet-talked the waiter into a 10% discount!
We were on the road about 8:30, for a 4 mile ride to Hearst Castle.

This is the swinmming pool! It was an amazing place to see, I'll post more pictures later.
We had lunch at the castle visitor's center, then headed north again.
Some of us insisted that we stop and look at the Elephant Seals. They were there, but we couldn;t get very close.
The ride on route 1 along the coast was spectacular! Todays ride made shipping the motorcycles from Boston, Lima and Phoenix all worthwhile! Dick has a picture of himself and Shirley at this exact spot from many years ago.

We ate dinner at the Phoenix Restaurant at Big Sur.
Then a short ride to the Motel 6 in Monterey.
